Devils Dispatch Tarheels 93-83

BROOKLYN -- Luke Kennard scored 20 points and Grayson Allen added 18 off the bench as No. 14 Duke rallied past No. 6 North Carolina with another second half surge.

Jayson Tatum added a game high 24 points and freshman Frank Jones chipped in 15 for the Blue Devils (26-8), who will play for the ACC Championship Saturday night against No. 16 Florida State or No. 22 Notre Dame.

This was the first ACC Tournament matchup between the two rivals since the 2011 title game - also won by Duke - North Carolina has not beaten the Blue Devils in the ACC tournament since the 1998 Final.

Kennedy Meeks led the Tarheels with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Showing impressive stamina, Duke won its third game in three days against a conference rival. No team has won four games in four days at the ACC Tournament. And no team has ever wont the tournament as a No. 5 seed. 

The Blue Devils improved to 13-8 against their rival in the ACC Tournament and 98-44 in the event overall, breaking a tie with North Carolina for the best record in the tournament's storied history. The Blue Devils will play for their record 20th ACC Championship Saturday night.
