Duke beats Notre Dame for ACC Championship

BROOKLYN -- Jayson Tatum took over in the final two minutes, making key plays on both ends of the floor, and the Blue Devils became the first team to win the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament with four wins in four days.

The freshman forward finished a spectacular week in Brooklyn with 19 points and eight rebounds for the fifth-seeded Blue Devils (27-8) as they became the first No. 5 seed to capture the league crown.

Duke won its first ACC Tournament championship since 2011 and its 20th overall, most in league history.

With the win, head coach Mike Krzyzewski broke a tie with former North Carolina coach Dean Smith by winning his record 14th ACC Championship.

Luke Kennard was named Tournament MVP

Up next for the Blue Devils, awaiting Selection Sunday to see who they'll face in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Play is set to begin next week.
