With a dismal opening week performance, the Blue Devils were in desperate need of a good showing against an inferior opponent. Head coach Carl Franks had his troops ready to go on Saturday in a 29-3 victory.

"The lineup changes worked well, but tonight was also a good example of how you never know when your chance is going to come," Duke coach Carl Franks said. "The guys who got demoted ... handled it the way that we talked as a team that you're supposed to handle it."
