Livingston Camp Excited About Duke Visit

With Hurricane Isabel walloping the east coast, there was a chance that the Duke coaching staff would have to postpone the official visit of Shaun Livingston. However it appears that Isabel will have moved on enough to allow the nation's top playmaker to take his trip to Durham this weekend.

"As of right now the trip is still on," said Shaun's father, Reggie in a Wednesday night interview with TDD. "I talked with Coach K tonight to make sure everything is still ready, and he says it's on. The plan is for Shaun to fly out Friday morning at 8 AM. They were going to have him leave on Thursday night, but it got pushed back a little because of the weather down there."

With the logistics no longer a concern, the elder Livingston says Shaun is now concentrating on the Duke presentation which has apparently peaked the 6-foot-7 guard's interest.

"He really liked what Coach K had to say when he was here last week," said Reggie. "The visit went about as well as an in-home visit could go. Shaun is really looking forward to hearing more this weekend when he's at Duke."

The trip to Duke will be Livingston's second official visit of a scheduled four. He has already visited North Carolina back on September 5. Unlike his visit to Chapel Hill, Shaun will have both his father and grandfather in Durham for the approaching visit according to his father.

"Both my dad and I are going to be down there around 12 on Friday. Right now we've got to check on flights and make sure everything is still ready to go, but we're all looking forward to the weekend."
