Darryl Augustine 5-11 PG Brother Martin HS (New Orleans, LA.) -- After turning many heads at the Tournament of Champions this past spring -- Augustine is already being hyped as the best point guard in this entire class. At this point -- it's too early to call, but he's got oozes of turbo quicks, an electric crossover and he can score as well as drop dimes to his buddies. This is the guy that most folks will be gunning for this upcoming summer as he's getting prepared to have a target on his back.
Devin Johnson 6-2 PG (pictured right) Meadowbrook HS (Richmond, VA) -- Many of you may not have heard of this cat -- but rest assured -- he's good. Real good. He's got one of the quickest first steps in the country and he's athletic enough to flush it on some domes this year. His jumper is respectable, but not lethal just yet. He can run the point or slide over and be the scorer. Look for this guy to be on a lot of radars soon. He's already getting ACC and Big East interest.
Javaris Crittendon 6-5 SG-PG SW Christian (Atlanta, GA) -- Folks who love big guards will love Crittendon. He's Dwight Howard's running mate at SW Christian in Atlanta and many coaches and recruiting fans are already anticipating a big recruiting war for Crittendon. He's not the fastest cat on the court, but he's long, lanky and can handle the rock. He showed that he could score and play a few different positions this past spring/summer when we saw him. Good looking prospect with size.
Demond Carter 5-9 PG Reserve Christian (LaPlace, LA) -- This little bullet has speed, speed and more speed. If he continues to develop -- we could be looking at another TJ Ford before it's all said and done. College coaches LOVE Carter and the abilities that he brings to the court. He's got a playground handle, a flair for the pass and his speed has to be respected. Developing a consistent jump shot will make this quickster nearly unstoppable.
Mike Conley 6-0 PG Lawrence North (Indianapolis, IN) -- Playing alongside the top freshman in the entire country, 6-11 Greg Oden, Conley is going to get plenty of looks. He's the son of former Olympic triple jump champ, Mike Conley Sr. -- and like his pops, Junior is one heck of an athlete too. A pure jet in the open floor with a knack for the pass. This kid is quick, smart, he's got good size and he loves to set his teammates up. He's makes good decisions with the ball and averaged six dimes last year as a freshman.
