In what was one of the event's featured matchups, Livingston's 14 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and three steals was enough to help the Lions to a 40-19 halftime lead before hanging on for the 70-57 victory over Seagoville (TX) 70-57 .

Despite the solid statline, Livingston struggled from the field, converting just three of his 11 shot attempts thanks to the Seagoville's constant defensive pressure.

"Our game plan was to deny Livingston the ball in our sagging man-to-man defense," Seagoville coach Robert Allen told the media in the post game press conference. "Whenever he tried to penetrate, we attempted to trap him and get the ball out of his hands because we knew as he goes, so goes Peoria Central. We did OK in some instances, and in other instances, we let him get away."

For his part, Seagoville superstar LaMarcus Aldridge (ranked #6 by added 31 points, on 12-fo-14 shooting, and 12 rebounds.
