Williams Questionable For Princeton

After logging a big performance in the first half against Portland, sophomore big man Shelden Williams suffered a strained Achilles, which forced him to the bench and ultimately to the locker room for the remainder of the game. Now his status for the Princeton game is uncertain.

As of Tuesday morning Williams' status was "day-to-day" and his availability for the Princeton game on Wednesday night was uncertain. However the 6-foot-9, 255 pounder is expected to be back in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against tenth ranked Texas in the Dreyfus Classic at Madison Square Garden.

On the season Williams is averaging 11.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game for the 6-1 Blue Devils. He has blocked at least five shots in each of his last four games, including six against Portland in just 14 minutes of action.
