Livingston Slowed; Peoria Wins

The injury bug has continued to make its rounds through the Duke family as the nation's top point guard has now been struck with a hyper extended knee. Despite the injury he played and played well enough to lead Peoria to a 21 point win on Monday, scoring 12 points and handing out seven assists.

Playing with a protective brace on his left knee, Shaun Livingston was restricted in his movement on both ends of the floor, though that was quickly forgotten when he threw down a thunderous alley-oop in the second half.

"I'd say it's about 75% healthy," Livingston said of his knee. "I will probably have to play with the brace for the next few games."

With their star slowed, the Lions found themselves in a tight game early, up just two midway through the second period before Livingston sparked a 8-0 that gave Peoria some breathing room.

On the night Livingston finished with 12 points, seven assists, five rebounds, and three blocks as Peoria remained perfect on the season.
