Duke Hosting GA OL This Weekend

The theme for this recruiting class' strategy has to be bolstering the offensive line if you follow the early indicators of coach Roof's performance on the recruiting trail. Duke will be looking to do more of the same when they host yet another Georgia lineman this weekend.

Having already visited Georgia Tech and Wake Forest, it's now time for Sandy Creek High School standout offensive tackle Andrew Gardner to visit his third finalist, Duke.

"I am looking forward to it," said the 6-foot-6, 250 pounder. "It's probably going to be my last visit. I have three favorites – Duke, Wake Forest, and Georgia Tech, and I will have visited all of them after this weekend."

While the ACC trio are considered the finalists for Gardner, he's also gotten offers from Navy and Furman. Of those first two visits Gardner says he preferred Georgia Tech's approach of a small group of prospects.

"I liked both visits, and the schools are pretty equal. The biggest difference was that at Wake there were 18 of us, while Tech only had two of us in."

Gardner projects as an offensive lineman at the next level once he adds some weight to his frame. He's clocked in a 4.96 time in the forty.
