Peach State CB Ready To Visit Duke

With five commitments from the state of Georgia already under his belt, Duke head coach Ted Roof will be looking for more when he hosts yet another Peach State standout this coming weekend. This time it's the pride of Mays High in Atlanta.

"Duke was the first school to offer me a scholarship," said 5-foot-11 cornerback Jabari Marshall. "Since then I've gotten offers from Illinois, Notre Dame, South Carolina, and Mississippi State."

Indeed the Blue Devils, after reviewing tape from his regular season where he recorded seven interceptions and six touchdowns on defense and special teams, pulled the trigger on November 21 in hopes of adding another speedster to the defensive secondary.

In fact speedster is probably the best adjective for Marshall, who routinely clocks in under 4.5 seconds in the forty.

During the season Marshall says he logged over 800 return yards, along with 47 tackles, and the seven interceptions. He also spent time on the offensive side of the ball, catching nine passes for 99 yards and a pair of scores.

After visiting Duke he will trip to Illinois on the 16th and then the following weekend to Mississippi State.
