Another commitment for Roof

After spending the weekend with many fellow recruits, Woodlands High School standout defensive back Daniel Charbonnet made his decision Monday night – the 5-foot-11, 175 pounder will be a Blue Devil next season.

Charbonnet, who logged 87 tackles (18 assisted), 15 pass deflections, and five interceptions during his senior season, becomes the 15th member of the class of 2004 to commit to head coach Ted Roof and the Blue Devils.

Daniel chose Duke over offers from Colorado State, Rice, and Utah. He was also receiving heavy interest from others including Arkansas and Arizona.

Some of his numbers include a 4.31 timed 40 at Nike Camp, a 34 inch vertical jump, and 11 reps of 185 pounds on the bench press.

Stay tuned to TDD for more information on the newest Blue Devil.
