Livingston Keeps Peoria Rolling

With scouts representing the Orlando Magic watching closely, future Blue Devil Shaun Livingston delivered a career high scoring performance as the Peoria Central High School Lions continued to roll over the competition. This time it was Rock Island giving their best shot at the Quad City-Peoria Shootout before losing 79-66.

While the statline of 37 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots is impressive, the Duke bound floor general was most proud of his performance at the free throw line where he hit 15 of his 16 attempts on the night, which included 7-of-8 conversions in the fourth quarter.

"That's something I've worked on this season," Livingston told TDD. "But this was a team effort tonight. It was a pretty hostile environment, but we're getting that every time out."

Livingston was nearly matched by Rock Island's Howard Davis, who scored a team-high 29, while knocking down his first nine field goal attempts. However the future Blue Devil was equally devastating, scoring on his first six attempts en route to 24 first half points.

The highlight of the night came early on as Livingston cut backdoor to catch an alley-oop before slamming it down in a crowd pleasing reverse jam.
