He thought about committing to Duke on his official visit. Then, once he returned home, he was sure he knew where he wanted to go to school.
"The visit went really well and I had a great time," said Jomar Wright
of his official visit to Duke
. "I just got to hang out with the players, went out to a couple of places where the people hang out. I got to meet some players on other teams as well (Alana Beard)."
Armed with a good impression of Durham Wright, a 6-foot-1, 185 pound wideout from Duncan, SC, pulled the trigger on Janurary 25th.
"I thought about not committing while I was there, but just taking my last visit. I could really see myself playing there. But I wanted to visit Wake just to be sure."
Wright's foot, which was injured in the state championship game, is making headway and should not be a factor in the future.
"It's healing well. I have another month with this hard cast, but I should be fine after that."
Wright chose Duke over offers from Wake and Kentucky. He is rated as one of the top 30 prospects in South Carolina.
