Nelson and Huskies fall to Valley

After rolling along since returning home from a mid season trip to North Carolina, the Sheldon Huskies fell apart in a loss to defending section champion Valley High School.

The offensive cohesion that had been illustrated by the Huskies was no where to be found on Wednesday night as Sheldon quickly fell behind and never seemed to be able to get anything running on the offense.

It was especially furstrating for future Blue Devil DeMarcus Nelson, who finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists despite being triple teamed throughout the game.

When he wasn't being triple teamed, the Hukies seemed to have trouble running the called and set plays in the halfcourt offense and ended up improvising late in the possession, which rendered the All American scorer useless for much of the evening.

Stay tuned to TDD for more information on Nelson's final prep season.
