Nelson Shines As Sheldon Rebounds

After suffering their first loss in nearly a month in the last game out, the Sheldon High School Huskies put together one of their best performances of the season in a 75-63 win over Folsom High thanks to the play of DeMarcus Nelson.

Coming off Wednesday's 73-64 set back at the hands of Valley that saw the Huskies look lost for much of the game on the offensive end, it remained to be seen if Sheldon would be able to pick up the pieces and form a cohesive effort on the offensive end.

They responded by working the ball around the perimeter and running a number of set plays for the 6-foot-3 Duke bound shooting guard including a highlight reel alley oop that saw Nelson use a backdoor cut before soaring into the air to throw down the jam.

On the night the future Blue Devil recorded 41 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and four steals before being mobbed by fans after the game, and taking 20 minutes to sign autographs.
