1C Greg Oden6-11/230(Lawrence North) Indianapolis, IN2006
Runs, rebounds, blocks shots and is a legit intimidator. Just scratching the surface. If he continues to improve he'll have a chance to be a dominant player. Super talent.
2PF Derrick Caracter6-9/280(Scotch-Plains Fanwood)
Scotch-Plains, NJ
Believe the hype, this kid is a stud. Best passing big man in high school ball right now. Surprisingly nimble for his body style. Inside-outside combination could be lethal.
3PF Tyler Hansbrough6-8/225(Poplar Bluff) Poplar Bluff, MO2005
No one plays harder or with more passion that him. Been terrific since coming back from an injury. In the tradition of Manning and Laettner, he's a big time competitor.
4PF Brandan Wright6-8/190(Brentwood Academy)
Nashville, TN
Been on fire since the summer. A cross between Bosh and Aldridge. He's had as productive a sophomore season as anyone in the country. Might be too low on this list.
5PF/SF Tasmin Mitchell6-7/220(Denham Springs)
Denham Springs, LA
Produces on the court. Kind of a tweener position-wise but you can't argue with the results. MVP of ABCD underclass game is a horse. Consistent scorer and rebounder.
6SG/SF Martell Webster6-6/215(Seattle Prep) Seattle, WA2005
Just coming off a foot injury. Potential to be top player in his class. Strong wing player with a smooth way about him. Very strong and his game is rounding out into shape.
7SG O.J. Mayo6-4/185(North College Hill) Cincinnati, OH2007
Big rep and produces big results. Older than most freshman. Has quite a resume stemming from middle school. Expectations are almost unrealistic but he's talented.
8SF Brandon Rush6-6/195Mount Zion) Durham, NC2005
Reclassed wing is cut from the Josh Smith mold. Big time athlete who plays above the rim. To stay on this list he'll have to round out his overall game and stick jumpers.
9PF Kevin Love6-8/220(Lake Oswego) Lake Oswego, OR2007
Son of a former Oregon standout and NBA player. Erupted onto the scene this year and has dazzled with his numbers and poise. He's going to be a huge name very soon.
10SF/SG Taylor King6-6/195(Mater Dei) Santa Ana, CA2007
Committed to UCLA before he attended a H.S. class. Gifted shooter who plays with the savvy of an older kid. Has range and a skill package. Bright lights don't scare him.

STRONG CONSIDERATION GIVEN TO: Nolan Smith, G, 2007; Keith Brumbaugh, F, 2005; Monta Ellis, G, 2005; Ramar Smith, G, 2006.
