Zoubek Continues To Roll

Haddonfield Memorial (N.J.) 7-foot, 235-pound sophomore Brian Zoubek scored 23 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and had 8 blocks in a 92-71 win over Schalick.

Zoubek continues to name the Blue Devils as his top collegiate choice in the early going, though the Stanford Cardinal have now made a run to occupy the top of his recruiting list.

Earlier this year Brian and his father Paul visited both Duke and Wake Forest unofficially. While at Duke the duo had a chance to take in a Blue Devil practice, tour the campus, and meet with the coaching staff.

"It was definitely intimidating," Zoubek said. "I've been to Ivy League campuses, but that's not as serious at Duke."

Zoubek then went on a similar tour the following day at Wake Forest before returning to the northeast.

So what was the highlight, or most memorable part of the visit to Duke?

"I really loved watching practice," he added. "I saw the intensity that they play with and now I know what it's like. It was definitely a shock compared to my high school practices."
