Livingston and Peoria Fall

Representatives from over 20 NBA teams piled in with the capacity crowd eagerly awaiting a show from the nation's top prep point guard. Unfortunately for the Peoria Central Lions, future Blue Devil Shaun Livingston didn't have one of his better games as Peoria was handled rather easily by West Aurora, 62-52.

The final margin of 10 points didn't begin to tell the story as West Aurora, which features 6-foot-9 Illinois bound Shaun Pruitt and 6-foot-6 Seton Hall bound Justin Cerasoli, built a double figure lead early, opening the game with a 15-2 blitz, before cruising to the victory.

For his part, Livingston did mange to log 16 points, though he struggled with the West Aurora defenders – converting just 6-of-13 shot attempts while missing each of this three perimeter attempts. The 6-foot-7 floor general also added six rebounds, and four assists, though it wasn't enough.

Cerasoli added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Pruitt was unstoppable inside on his way to 21 points and 12 rebounds to help West Aurora lay claim to the top prep ranking in Illinois.

The loss drops Peoria Central to 21-2 on the season, and likely will force a descent from their #5 national ranking by USAToday.
