Livingston Struggles In Final Reg Season Game

Shaun Livingston's stellar high school career saw another chapter close on Friday night as the Peoria Central Lions closed out the regular season with another conference title. However, you can bet the future Blue Devil would have liked to have gone out with a better performance.

"We played pretty well, but I struggled tonight," said Shaun Livingston of his final Peoria regular season game. "I don't know what was going on with my game."

Indeed Livingston didn't add any clips to his library of highlight reels, nor did he have a productive night from the floor. Instead the 6-foot-7 floor general hit just three of his 12 shot attempts, including a number of wide open looks from the perimeter, en route to 11 points on the night.

In the end it didn't matter as Peoria managed to pull away from Woodruff high late for the 64-41 season ending victory. The Lions finished the season with a 23-2 mark, with losses coming to West Aurora and Pike.

Livingston finished the season scoring approximately 16 points per game to go along with six rebounds, and four assists per contest. He has been named as a member of the West All Stars in both the McDonalds All-American game and the Roundball Classic.
