Nelson Breaks Record; Sheldon Rolls

Future Blue Devil DeMarcus Nelson moved into history last night, scoring 30 points to become California's all-time career scoring leader in Sheldon's 91-68 win over Tokay in the sectional semifinals.

Nelson passed the old mark of 3,359 held by Emeryville Emery standout Darnell Robinson who played by 1990-93, and now stands alone at the top of the charts with 3,364 career points.

The victory moved the Huskies into the sectional finals where they will face the winner of Kennedy and Laguna Creek High.

The future Blue Devil added 10 rebounds and five assists as well, bringing his career totals to 1,423 boards, and 718 career assists according to Sheldon statisticians.
