Boo: Q&A With Tyler Hansbrough

After his second day at Boo Williams, Tyler Hansbrough continues to be one of the more talented prospects we've seen throughout the event. After today's session the 6-foot-9 Missouri power forward sat down with TDD before catching his team's bus.

TDD: Everyone knows Duke has been recruiting you over the past few months. Can you talk a little bit about your relationship with the staff in Durham?

Tyler Hansbrough: I've got a good relationship with them, Coach K and I have spoken a bit, I really respect him and like talking with him a lot.

What about Duke as a whole. What are your feelings there?

It's really confusing to me, they haven't expressed themselves as much as other teams have, so it's hard for me to have a definite feeling about them. I know they are a top school, it's just been different in how they are recruiting me from other schools.

To others, you adding two more teams to your list kind of signifies that maybe you are a bit confused with this whole recruiting process, tell me how you feel about all of it?

I mean, straight up, to be honest, I'm really confused right now. I've never done this before and just dealing with all the pressure and questions is rough man, I'm not gonna lie.

What do you try to do to get away from the stress of recruiting?

Well, first off, it's kind of hard to. I live in such a small town, and that's all anybody talks about, so I deal with a lot of pressure. Just hanging with my friends helps a lot, they know that I don't want to talk about it as much, so they don't talk about it with me.

What kind of stuff do you do for fun off the court?

I got a girl, we chill here and there. Other than that, man, I'll tell you what, I love to fish.

No kidding? What type of fishing do you enjoy?

Man, I love fishing for catfish. I mean, I don't like eating them, so I always toss them back, but fishing is so relaxing to me, I just love everything about it.
