How is your back feeling coming off the injury?
It's probably about 90% right now, I am presently rehabbing to get it stronger.
It looks as if you have put on some weight.
Yes, I am at about 245 right now, some of it good, some of it bad.
I didn't do a lot when I was sidelined other than eat a bunch so I added a lot of weight. Some of it is muscle, others I'll lose as I continue to get in game shape.
At Kingwood you played a bit inside and then went outside as well. Do you see a similar pattern during your Duke career?
Yes, it something that I can do, but the main reason I am playing that way now is because of Greg Oden.
What's it like practicing with Oden every day in practice?
I've had to play against him for years now. It's really great to finally be on the same team. His presence really helps me get better every time we practice.
What would you consider the strongest part of your game?
Probably my passing
I'd have to say my shooting and my strength
What has Duke said in regards to getting ready for the college game?
They basically just say to keep getting stronger and to be ready mentally.
Any ideas on Shaun Livingston coming to school?
I don't really know a lot on that.
Have you heard form Duke lately?
Last week I had a chance to talk with the, and Wojo and Chris were at Kingwood watching me play.
What do the coaches tell you to work on when it comes to getting ready for the next level?
To just keep playing hard.
What are your strengths on the court?
My leadership ability and my overall physical strength.
What would you say are your weaknesses?
Defense and sometimes I dribble too high. With all of the quick guards in the ACC like Raymond Felton, I am trying to work on dribbling lower.
Is it a relief now that your recruitment is over?
Yes, I am very happy where I am at.
What are your thoughts on possibly competing with Shaun Livingston in Durham?
I hope he's there. I would love to play with him and the rest of the team when I get there.
