``I like Duke's coaching style," Brandan Wright said. "Coach K is the best coach in college basketball right now. Some of his teams you wouldn't expect would do well, but they are always in the top 10."
However, Wright did make it clear that there is no leader among his handful of schools right now. The other three include Kentucky, Louisville and Indiana.
Despite being a big-time player in the Class of 2006, Wright has been somewhat frustrated of late with the inability to go up against some of his rival elite players in his class.
That's because the rail-thin Wright plays in under-16 events with the Murfreesboro Stars.
``You want to play against the best players, so it's been kind of tough," Wright said. "But I'll get a chance when I go to the USA Festival and Nike Camp."
Wright admits it's been tough to mentally get up for every game at the under-16 level, but is assessment is that he's played fairly well – and has seen a significant improvement in his outside shot and defensive intensity.
Prior to the USA Developmental Festival, Wright will play in numerous team camps throughout the state. He's in the middle of one at Belmont College and then will go to East Tennessee State and Middle Tennessee State.
The biggest challenge right now for Wright is how to put on weight while playing so much. He's hoping to add bulk to his lithe frame and the best time to do it will be when the summer ends.
As for his college decision, it's still looming a ways off – but he doesn't anticipate many, if any, changes in his list.
``I can't say I'm definitely planning on keeping all five of them, but it'll be hard for me to change," Wright said.
