Despite the injury, Biggs did show flashes of the talent that has made a number of high major programs begin to vie for his commitment in the class of 2005. The 6-foot-8, 260 pounder showed a nice shooting touch, they ability to absorb contact inside, and soft hands on entry passes and rebounds while battling through the tweaked knee.
On Sunday Biggs' absence was noted as the Metro Hawks lost in an elimination game with the big guy logging less than 10 minutes total when he wasn't sitting with an ice pack on his left knee.
Once he returned home Sunday night, Biggs provided TheDevilsDen.com with a brief update on his recruiting.
"It's still the same six schools – Duke, Maryland, UConn, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and Villanova. Right now it's my understanding that all of them have offered me a scholarship, and I'll be narrowing down my list at the end of the summer."
By narrowing the list down, Biggs says he thinks he'll take between three and five official visits before making his decision in the fall signing period. However at this point he's already beginning to see some separation from the pack.
"Duke's showing me the most interest at this point, then Maryland, UConn, and Villanova. With Duke there's so much history that you can't not notice when they are interested in you. Maryland and UConn also are building their own history, so I have to look at them too. All of them are really starting to send more and more stuff."
Biggs will continue the AAU tour with the Metro Hawks before attending the ABCD camp this summer.
