Paschal Conjuring Up Offers

Charlotte (N.C.) Latin fullback Mark Paschal has taken the recruiting world by storm, with double-digit offers and a very athletic build. He was impressive even last season at camps, and the camp circuit shows Paschal working hard once again.

"It is going pretty well," says the 6-foot-1, 230 pounder. "I have 10 scholarship offers right now, and we are just trying to visit all the schools that are interested in me and see what they have to offer."

Paschal, whose father played in the NFL, wants to make sure the feeling is right before making a choice.

"I was thinking (about committing) before the season, but right now I am really thinking about holding off and seeing what will happen."

At the moment, no team is out of the race, and no one team has taken a commanding lead.

"I like all the schools that have offered me, but I would say I really like Clemson, GT, UNC, UCLA, and Duke right now."

As for the visits, Paschal has visited each school in his top five at least once, including several camps.

"I went to Chapel Hill last week for a one-day camp. I went to Georgia Tech for a camp and a junior Day. Clemson I have been to for a one-day camp, Duke for a camp, and I have already been to UCLA for a visit."

Paschal's teammate, Ryan Radloff, has already made a commitment to Duke and it could help the Blue Devils somewhat.

"We're really close; really good friends. He is pretty new to the school. He came to Latin not this past year, but the second semester of our 10th grade year. I really became one of his good friends, and he became one of my good friends."
