Young Big Man Has Early High Interest

Brian Zoubek has all the tools to become a big time talent, but it'll take some time for this big man to learn the finer points of the game.

One of the top players from New Jersey is preparing himself for a big summer. Brian Zoubek, a 7-foot, 242-pound center from Haddonfield High School in Haddonfield, New Jersey is a rising junior and a member of the class of 2006.

Zoubek will compete this week at the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis. Zoubek will also play with the New Jersey All-Stars AAU program which will play at the Nike Peach Jam and the Super Showcase in Orlando, Florida.

Zoubek recently competed for the East team at the recent USA Basketball Youth Development Festival in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Zoubek averaged just two points and four rebounds. This was a big difference from his sophomore year last season at Haddonfield where he averaged 18 points and 12 rebounds per contest.

Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Connecticut, Michigan, Stanford, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Notre Dame, and Georgetown are some schools that have expressed early interest. Zoubek is also an outstanding student. He already has nailed down a 1360 on the PSAT.
