Gerald Henderson Showcases Athletic Skills

Gerald Henderson is a big time athlete. Now, the question for Gerald is how much progress will he make in the other important parts of his individual game by the time he is ready to play college basketball.

Gerald Henderson, a 6-5, 210-pound small forward from Episcopal Academy in Marion Station, Penn., had several thundering dunks this past weekend playing for Jimmy Salmon's Playaz program at the Sonny Hill tournament.

Henderson, an outstanding athlete, is working hard on making himself a more efficient player on the perimeter. He is still trying to consistently hit the jumper to perhaps even play the shooting guard position on the next level.

Gerald is a 2006 prospect who is likely to be ranked among the top 20-25 players in the country. He has several schools after him and already has an offer from Villanova.

"I am open," Henderson said this past weekend. "I haven't ruled any school out."

Gerald is also considering the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, Duke, Connecticut, Syracuse, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest. This list is likely to change over the next year since Henderson indicated he was wide open in his recruiting process.
