Brockman Cuts List In Half

The recruiting saga of Seattle power forward Jon Brockman just had half of the indecision cleared up as the 6-foot-7 west coast big man has eliminated half of the schools in his final six. This comes as he prepares to make an official visit to Duke in the coming weeks.

"I'm down to Duke, Washington, and UCLA," said Jon Brockman in a brief interview with TDD. "Those are the three I feel the most comfortable"

The decision came out of the blue for many recruitniks as Brockman had maintained a desire to visit five schools. However, he added that the recruiting process is beginning to wear on him and taking three visits would be enough.

Sources close to the situation have confirmed to TDD that the coaching staffs at North Carolina, Gonzaga, and Arizona have all been informed of the change in plans.

With one step behind him in the process, Brockman and his family will host head coach Mike Krzyzewski and his staff in their home on September 9th. The following weekend the big forward will head to Durham for his official visit.

"I've only seen Cameron on TV, but it'll be pretty awesome to step inside and see all the banners and trophies," Brockman told TDD in a previous interview. "I wish I could get down there during a game when the crowd was there. I've heard it's just crazy."

Brockman is considered the top priority of the Duke coaching staff in the class of 2005.
