Henderson Completes Road Trip

Gerald Henderson took a big time tour last weekend. Actually, the tour was more like a stroll down Tobacco Road. Here's the latest on this Top 25 junior's recruitment.

It was a busy week for No. 17 junior Gerald Henderson, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Episcopal Academy in Pennsylvania.

Henderson and his family, including former NBA standout Gerald, Sr., toured four campuses in a Labor Day Weekend road trip.

The Henderson's spent 2-3 hours on the campuses of Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest and North Carolina State. "It was really a great trip," Gerald, Sr., said. "The weather was great and that made it even better."

According to Henderson's father, it was time to get out and see some campuses to get a feel for what it's like on the next level.

"He wanted to get an idea of what college life is like and what schools had to offer as far as basketball and what he would have to do to keep up with his studies."

According to sources, Henderson received offers from three of the four schools including, Wake, Duke and UNC.

The prospect's father confirmed that offers were extended by a trio of schools. "Let's say this: 3 of the schools did offer him to come to their universities. One did not commit [to a scholarship] but said they're very interested in him."

Henderson, Sr., was quick to point out that by no means has his son closed down the option to look at other schools. In fact, Villanova is in the mix as well as a host of other programs like Notre Dame. Senior said that there exists the possibly that his son goes to see other programs in the future as well.
