Brockman's Thoughts After Visit

Jon Brockman's venture to the East Coast was a productive one. The 6-foot-8 forward, a Top 15 player out of Snohomish, Wash., now says his decision is all the more difficult.

It's not going to be an easy process for power forward Jon Brockman. Having narrowed his choices to three schools – UCLA, Washington, Duke – maybe some thought he might be able to decide after a weekend visit to Duke. According to Brockman, that process just got a bit more difficult.

"I'm planning on the end of this month [for a decision], but I don't know what's going to happen," Brockman said. "After this trip I might not be as close to doing it as I thought I was going to be."

Brockman and his family made the trip from Snohomish to Durham this weekend. He has already been to UCLA officially and has maintained that he's close enough to Washington and been on their campus enough that he may not need to officially visit the Huskies. "Lorenzo Romar was talking to me about [a visit] but nothing is set in stone."

Overall, the Duke trip allowed him to learn a bit more about the Blue Devils. "I just got more familiar with the players and the campus. I got an idea of what everything is like down there.

"I got all my questions answered. It's just coming down to figuring out what place is best for me. I like all three schools."

Brockman has always played the recruiting game with a straight poker face. When reached Sunday evening, little changed.

"II can see myself going to all three of the schools that I got. I like all of them and it's going to be tough."
