Langdon Signs with Los Angeles

Former Duke standout Trajan Langdon has been signed by the Los Angeles Clippers according to the team's official website.


The Clippers today signed free agent guard Trajan Langdon and free agent forward Kaniel Dickens, it was announced by Vice President of Basketball Operations Elgin Baylor.

Langdon averaged 14.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 20 games played for Efes Pilsen in Istanbul, helping the team win the 2003-04 Turkish National Championship. Langdon connected on 60-116 FG (.517) and 36-92 3FG (.391) on the season.

The eleventh overall selection by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1999 NBA Draft, Langdon has averaged 5.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists over three NBA seasons, recording his best campaign during the 2000-01 season when he tallied 6.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in 65 games played.

Playing for Benetton Treviso in Italy during the 2002-03 season, Langdon averaged 15.3 points in 46 games played and helped lead Benetton to the 2002-03 Italian League Championship. In 21 games played during Euroleague play, Langdon tallied 14.8 points and helped Benetton win the 2003 Italian Cup.

In addition, Langdon was a collegiate teammate of Clippers' forwards Elton Brand and Corey Maggette at Duke University, playing with Brand in 1997 and 1998 and teaming with both during the 1998 campaign.
