The youngster from Houston Hastings says, "Truthfully, I don't want to say who my leader. I just won't say who it is just yet. I guess I could say somebody has a slight edge on the other schools.
"Miami is a champion college team and a winning one. They produce good DLs that transition well into the NFL. I know if I went there the coaches would develop me good. They have good academics there too, believe it or not. The coaching staff is great and the players are really cool and welcoming. They are good people...real good people.
"I just had a blast when I took my official visit to Oklahoma State. I got to have dinner with the team and after that we all went out and caught a movie. After that, I went back to the hotel to rest up for next day's game. My host was, Bobby Reid (QB) and he's a cool guy. We talked about football life in Oklahoma and how well they graduate their players.
"On game day, I went out to breakfast with the team, took my academic meetings and visited the president's house. That day I also got to take a look at their facilities and go to an alumni basketball game. I had a really memorable moment before the game when I took what is known as, 'The Walk', from the hotel to the stadium. It was really cool to see all the fans cheering and being so supportive, some of the people even called out my name. It was exhilarating. I'd say the people were the highlight of that visit.
"I got to go to the field and watch the team warm-up and even got to sing the school song with the team in front of the band, after they totally blew out SMU. It was a massacre. Later on I got to hang out with Bobby Reid (QB) and go to a party. The next day we all went to breakfast with the coaches and their family. The coaches made no pressure on me to commit because they understand that I'm going to make my decision after the season.
"It's a good situation at Oklahoma St because they are losing DTs on the end side. I plan on graduating in December so that will allow me to compete for an early spot on the team. I hear that the coaches there are really supportive and will take care of you as long as you go there. They have some wonderful people and nice facilities.
"I've been to Texas A&M three times and it's been a lot of fun each time. Their DL coach, (Stan) Eggen (DLs), sounds like a really cool guy…very legit and not someone that tells me any BS. He tells me the truth. They have some nice facilities from what I've seen and they're doing well this year.
"Oklahoma has a championship team year in and year out. They have a big need for some DTs too. Coach (Jackie) Shipp (DLs) is one of those coaches that tells me the truth as well and that's all I want to hear from a coach. They work real hard and you can see that in how good they are.
"I've camped at Arizona and they have real nice facilities and a cool coaching staff.
"LSU was one of the first schools to offer and that's how they caught my eye. They have a great academic support program and a gorgeous indoor practice field. I also really like coach (Nick) Saban.
"Duke has a beautiful campus…it's kind of in the woods, if you can imagine that. They haven't been having real good years, but if I went there I'd like to make an immediate impact on the team. And a degree from Duke sets you up for the rest of your life…you can't beat that.
Oghobaase will decide on the rest of his official visits by the end of the season.
Hastings is 1-6 on the season. "I'm not focused on my stats right now, as a team, we're just trying to win a game."
