"Other schools that are showing interest are, Auburn, Michigan, Oklahoma, Georgia, Tennessee, Iowa and Central Florida."
With all these early offers, who has made his early favorite list?
"I would have to say Duke, Oklahoma, Texas, Miami, Florida and Auburn are my favorites right now."
With these offers coming so early, college coaches had to see something they liked in Mr. Rose. What does Rose feel the strengths of his game are?
"Pass blocking definitely is my biggest strength. I have very good feet and long arms. I played basketball my whole life and that really helped develop my footwork. Long arms also give me a big advantage to pass block and drive people off the ball."
What does Rose feel he needs to work on?
"I want to get better at staying low and driving people off the ball when run blocking. I am so tall and that makes it harder for me to stay lower. I want to improve on that over the summer and into next year."
Last season Rose was an All-State selection and he graded out around a ninety at offensive tackle.
What does Rose have on his plate for this summer?
"Me and the other seniors are talking about taking a tour of campuses around the south and maybe hitting those one day senior camps. Not sure if that will happen or not, but if it doesn't then I plan on attending camps at Florida, Georgia, Alabama and maybe a few others."
It is very early in recruiting for Daron Rose, but he already has the list of things he will be looking for before signing his letter of intent next February…
"Key factors for me will be academics. That is the biggest factor without a doubt. Football is not everything for me. I want to get an education too, so if football does not work out, then I will have something to fall back on."
"Coaches is another key factor. I will be in their hands for the next four years, so the coaching staff is important to me. One thing that is not too important is playing time. I know if I go in there, compete, work hard and learn, then I will play."
Could Mr. Rose be one to pull the trigger early and have his decision made by summer?
"I am going to use the spring and summer to fill things out. I want to get used to recruiting and then take all five of my visits. I want to it all the right way and make sure I make the right decision."
Born and raised in the sunshine state, will distance be a factor for this 6'5, 290 pound tackle out of Tampa?
"Not really. It would be nice to play close so my family can see me. I don't want to go farther than the Texas, Oklahoma area. I guess you could say no farther than the midwest."
Daron Rose is a big time offensive tackle prospect that already has nine offers. Florida was his first offer and Georgia Tech has been the most recent offer. Who will be the next?

Scott Kennedy's (Scout.com Regional Analyst) Scouting Report: Daron Rose helped lead his team to the State Championship game at left tackle with excellent footwork, technique, and drive. He has the size to play tackle or guard on the next level and is a smart player capable of picking up a new system early in college. He has great quickness out of his stance and has ample time to keep getting stronger.
