Georgia OL Wants to Camp with Duke

Aaron Cooper is a big offensive line prospect from Berkmar High School in Gwinnett County, Ga. He names a Top 5.

Aaron Cooper weighed in at 6-3.5 and 261 pounds and showed good mobility at the Kennedy/CES Combine last month. He has been receiving a lot of early attention, and he knows which schools he likes early.

"I like Auburn, Duke, Purdue, Georgia and Miami. I've been getting a lot of letters from Georgia, Duke, Auburn and Georgia Tech," Cooper said.

One school stands out above the others at this time.

"Purdue is my favorite. I want to be a Pilot and they have my major."

Why does he list the four other schools?

Auburn: "They're a big D1 school and they're sending me some letters."

Duke: "I think it would be interesting to go there because it's a little further from home.

Georgia: "That's my favorite college team. I'm a Georgia fan."

Miami: "One of my dad's friends used to go there and it would be interesting to go to a place like that."

What is he seeking in a school?

"I'm looking at the academics and what the school is offering me. I want them to have my major."

What does Cooper feel he does best on the high school level and what does he feel he needs to work on?

"I need to work on getting out and blocking linebackers a little better. I think I pass block and man-up on a defensive lineman very well."

The Patriot OL also gets it done in the classroom.

"I have a 3.2 GPA and I have a 1000 SAT. I plan on taking the new SAT as well because I heard that some schools won't accept the other one anymore."

What are his goals headed into his final year of high school ball?

"I want to be the best player on my team and make All-County or All-State. I bench 280lbs and squat 360lbs, but I'd like to get stronger also."

Aaron knows of two camp destinations.

"I know I'm going to the Georgia camp and I'll go to Duke also if they send me an invite."
