Devils Make Early Cut for FL LB

Chad Guinn of Jacksonville, Fla. says the Blue Devils are high in his top five early on.

Chad Guinn of Bartram Trail in Jacksonville is an active linebacker that posted 125 tackles as a junior with two interceptions. At 6-0 and 210 pounds, he has the size to play inside or outside on the next level. He is a good student that is looking at several schools across the south.

"I've been getting letters from Florida State, Vanderbilt, Duke, UCF, and South Carolina," said Guinn. "Florida was my favorite team growing up, and I try to compare my game to Channing Crowder. He has a great field presence, good footwork through traffic, and he stays off the ground and just makes plays."

While the Gators were Guinn's favorite team growing up, he is looking harder at the teams showing him more interest early.

"I was invited to Vanderbilt's junior day, but I don't know if I'm going to be able make it. Right now I like Duke, Vanderbilt, UCF, USF, and South Carolina the best."

Guinn claims a current bench press of 270 and a squat of 410.
