Duke In Top Two For Rose

One of the top offensive linemen in the South Region continues to mention Duke among his top choices early on in his recruitment.

Daron Rose is one of the top offensive linemen in the south and he just continues to rack up the offers. Who's the latest to jump on board?

"Houston and Central Florida have offered me recently. I have family over there in Houston and it's a good fit for me offensive wise. UCF has moved into a new conference and Coach O'Leary was very upfront with me when I visited them over there. I'm definitely considering them," Daron Rose said.

Have these new offers changed things on his favorites list?

"I still like Maryland, Duke, Texas and Florida. All of those four except Texas have offered me. Maryland and Duke are my favorites."

Why are the Devils and Terps on top?

Duke: "I just like the academics. It's probably one of the most prestigious degrees you can get in the country. That's what really stands out to me."

Maryland: "It surprised me when I heard they had one of the top criminal justice programs in the country. I think 70% of the team is criminal justice majors. That's impressive to me."

With two squads from the same conference at the top, it appears Rose would like to play in the ACC. Is that the case?

"Every team you go to in the ACC, your playing top competition year in and your out. I think it's the best conference and I think the SEC is right behind them."

As is the case with most top Florida prospects, the big 3 Universities in the Sunshine State will play a factor before it's over.

"I like Florida and Miami the most of the instate schools. I really like Urban Meyer. We run an offense just like they do and we basically copied our offense from him when he was at Utah. With Miami, what can you say, it's just Miami. It's a great school to be at."
