"It was tough to score today... both teams played hard. They played really good defense, and obviously we did, too.... We feel fortunate to win."
On Randolph and Williams' interior defense:
"If they do drive...either one can block a shot... Shav is a really good shot-blocker coming from the help side. We rebounded well against a rebounding team."
On Redick as a `marked man':
"It's a good thing, too, because you're playing four-on-four - it makes it more compact...and opens up other opportunities for other players."
"It's been a truly rewarding, amazing year...because I have a great group of kids who have never made excuses and who play their butts off. ...I love this group of kids. It's as good a group as I've ever coached."
On being a `marked man':
"It's very difficult to be in a situation where every game you're going to get the other team's best defender...you have to prepare for that, and that's what I've done all year."
"It was really difficult to score - they played really good interior defense."
On Coach Kryzewski's win:
"It means a lot to me and to us as a team. You know he wouldn't talk about it, but I made sure all the guys on the team knew about it. I mentioned it to the team before we went out on the court. I said, `We need to win it for him."
On containing Mississippi State's offense:
"The biggest thing for us was limiting Power's and Frazier's threes."
"Lawrence [Roberts] and I have been playing against each other since we were 12 or 13 years old...we were always playing against each other. [After the game] I just told him to keep his head up and that he played a great game."
On Mississippi State:
"They're an excellent team we knew they'd play hard and they were excellent."
On coach Krzyzewski's record:
"It's great to be a part of this. He's a great coach and he didn't talk much about it, he's all about the team first."
On Coach Krzyzewski's milestone win:
"It feels great, I mean that's the reason I came here to the Carolina's, to play for a great coach and a winning team that's on it's way to the Sweet 16."
On the team's mentality and play:
"We have to play with a lot of heart, if we do that then we can beat anybody, but if we don't then anybody can beat us."
On the upcoming Austin regional:
"We know that all of those teams are good, but we're not scared of anybody."
On the advantage of already playing (and beating) Michigan State:
"There's no big advantage. That game was a lot different, it was in Cameron. We will be a little familiar with them I guess.... The key against Michigan State before was stopping them in transition."
On Coach Krzyzewski's win:
"We celebrated quietly in the locker room, we tried not to ruffle his hair."
On the emotional play against Mississippi State:
"We played with the attitude like tonight could be our last game - we didn't necessarily do that against Delaware State.
