Duke In the Hunt For Top Florida Runner

Though its early, Duke has made a strong push for Florida RB C.J. Spiller

C.J. Spiller is one of the top players in the state of Florida and his offer total has now reached 8. Who's on board thus far?

"I've got offers from Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Nebraska, Duke, Ohio State, Illinois and North Carolina so far," C.J. Spiller said.

Who sits atop his list at this time?

"I don't have any leader yet, but I like all the Florida schools, Tennessee, Nebraska, Georgia and Duke."

What stands out about those schools?

Florida: "I like all the coaches and I feel like I'm at home. I want to watch Coach Meyer this year and see how he does."

Florida State: "I grew up an FSU fan, so I like it up there."

Miami: "That's where my dad lives. I like them because they give the ball to the running back 30 times a game."

Nebraska: "They run the option and I like that offense. I ran that in middle school."

Georgia: "They're mostly an I-formation team and I like coming out of that formation. They have a complete team with the offense and the defense as well."

Duke: "I like their basketball team and I think I could go in there and change around their football program."

What's he looking for most in a school?

"I want a great tradition, humble teammates and great teammates all around me."

Has he finalized his camp plans?

"I'm not sure where I'll camp at yet. I'll probably be at FSU for one though."
