Duke University's campus in Durham, NC is the first stop of the Scout.com All-American Combine tour. The event kicks off 9 a.m. Sunday, April 10, with attendees participating in speed and agility tests, and position-specific drills.
You'd be hard-pressed to find a combine with more star power than Sunday's event – four potential All-American selections will be in attendance.
Invitees from the hosting state – North Carolina – will make up 91 of the 157 registered participants including potential All-American selections offensive tackle Carl Johnson (pictured) of Durham (N.C.) Southern and safety Deunta Williams of Jacksonville (N.C.) White Oak.
Despite lacking the strength in numbers of North Carolina, Virginia will provide a similar pop. Wide receiver Chris Bell of Norfolk (Va.) Granby is arguably the top player in the nation at his position while running back Brandon Minor of Richmond (Va.) Varina figures to make a strong push for a All-American roster spot.
Although many of South Carolina's top prospects plan to head to Scout.com's Auburn or Jacksonville combines, wide receiver Tori Childers (right) of Rock Hill (S.C.), quarterback B.J. Phillips of Elgin (S.C.) Spring Valley, and cornerback Ameer Salahudin of Anderson (S.C.) Hanna should not have any problems representing the Palmetto State.
Additionally, linebacker Akeem Hebron and wide receiver Drew Gloster of Gaithersburg (Md.) Good Counsel, quarterback Charlie Gantt of Farmington Hills (Mich.) Brother Rice, linebacker Bani Gbadyu of Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard, linebacker Nekos Brown of Brandywine (Md.) Thomas Stone, and Duke pledge wide receiver Sheldon Bell of Baltimore (Md.) City College will make long trips to showcase their talents.
Adding to the aura of the day, Fox Sports South's Countdown to Signing Day will be on hand to cover the event as well as Scout.com's national and regional recruiting analysts.
Scout.com is the exclusive sponsor for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and Combine and the official selection committee for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl roster.
