Duke Offers NC Cornerback

The word continues to spread about Raeshon McNeil – a 6-foot, 175-pound cornerback from Mocksville (N.C.) Davie. Apparently, word has now leaked out of the east coast and spread west to South Bend, Indiana.

"Somehow Notre Dame seen my tape," said Raeshon McNeil. "Then they contacted my coach and they talked to him about me; he told them about my grades and what type of person I am. I talked to the coach [from Notre Dame] on the phone last Thursday and he told me they were going to offer me."

The new offer increases McNeil's offer count to four – Duke, Virginia, and Wake Forest have also offered – and has given his favorites list a slight makeover.

"I like Virginia definitely and Notre Dame definitely now," said McNeil. "Notre Dame has a great school of architecture and school of science – those are the two fields I'm looking at. I'm also really interested in Tennessee and Virginia Tech."

McNeil had one of the more impressive performances Sunday during Scout.com's All-American Combine. He was timed at 4.69 seconds in the forty-yard dash and 4.44 seconds in the twenty-yard shuttle and also vertically jumped 32 inches.
