Devils Offer Florida QB

Thad Lewis has a Blue Devils offer already and is keeping his options open.

Thaddeus Lewis is one of the better quarterbacks available in the state of Florida for the class of '06. He's already picked up his first offer and a host of other schools are showing interest as well.

"I have an offer from Duke. I get a lot of letters from Auburn, Georgia, Florida and Florida State. I'm pretty open for now. I really don't know about any favorites yet," Thaddeus Lewis said.

What are some of the factors he'll use to narrow down his list?

"I'm looking for playing time. Not necessarily early, but I want to play quarterback. They also have to have my major which is business management or entrepreneurship. I'd also like to see the percentage of athletes that graduate."

How would "Thad" describe his game?

"Basically my game is to throw the ball first and run second. I can scramble but I'm going to throw the ball first. I need to improve my forty time."

What are his goals for this season?

"I'd like to throw for over 2,000yds but the main thing is the state title. Forget the yards and touchdowns, I just want that ring. You can do this and that but without a ring, it don't matter."

Where all will he camp in the coming months?

"I'm going to the Peyton Manning quarterback camp in Louisiana in July. I'll also be at the Scout.com Combine in Jacksonville this Sunday."
