Top In-State Prospect Listing Duke

As the Blue Devils continue to work hard on the recruiting class of 2006, one of the local products moving high on the recruiting wish list is Josh Adams of Cary (N.C.). The speedy running back has a number of high major offers and continues to gather interest daily.

After taking up to the end of March to assemble an offers sheet of four schools – North Carolina, N.C. State, Duke and Maryland, Josh Adams has seen an explosion of tenders in the month of April that has almost tripled his offer count.

"I'm up to eleven offers now," said Adams. "[In addition to the four aforementioned schools], I also have offers from UVA, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Wake Forest, Tennessee, and Clemson. UVA is my newest."

The recent drastic increase in scholarship offers has sent Adams into a tailspin forcing the 5-foot-11, 175-pound tailback from Cary (N.C.) to throw out his former top five.

"I don't really have any favorites or top five," said Adams. "I'm just sitting back and seeing all my opportunities."

He does, however, know what he's looking for in a school.

"I'm looking at the social life, coaching staff, what position I will most likely play, how much playing time I will possibly receive, who is all in my position, and what type of academic program they have," he said

Despite having a fairly busy unofficial visits schedule, Adams doesn't expect to be as busy this summer. During the past few months Adams has visited Virginia, N.C. State, UNC, Wake Forest, Duke and Clemson, but only plans to camp at Chapel Hill this summer, thus far.
