Alexander Nets Six More Offers

Ben Alexander was already having difficulty weeding through the pile of scholarship offers he has received. Things got even more complicated when the 6-foot-1, 288-pound defensive tackle from Anderson (S.C.) Hanna once again increased his offer count.

"I've just added six more offers," said Alexander. "Ohio State, Texas, LSU, University of Georgia, Wake Forest, and Vanderbilt have offered."

Although his offers sheet continues to change, Alexander's favorites list remains the same.

"I still don't really have any favorites," said Alexander. "I'm taking a lot of visits. I have already looked at South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Duke, Clemson, and the University of North Carolina. I'm going to visit Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia Tech this summer. The only thing I haven't set up yet is Ohio State and they offered today [Monday], so I'm probably going to set that up pretty soon."

Before the football season Alexander plans to have a final three or five schools. However, he admits a verbal commitment could come at any moment.

"Honestly, I'm just really waiting for a place to jump out at me," said Alexander. "Like if I go to wherever in the next month or two and a place jumps out at me I'll make a decision. But if I really can't make up my mind even after going to a couple of games and take my official visits I might not make my decision until January.

"I just want to really feel comfortable with my school."
