Keystone LB Heading To Duke In June

Alex Johnson, one of the best LB prospects in the Northeast will head to Duke for camp soon

One of the top linebackers in the "Keystone State" this season is Lansdale (Pa.) North Penn standout Alex Johnson (6-2, 230, 4.57). Johnson has received two offers, even though he has not had a lot of time being devoted to one position.

"I have offers from Duke and Toledo," Johnson said. "I think a lot of the reason I don't have more offers is because last year I would play defensive end, or defensive tackle. A lot of schools haven't seen me play line backer."

In 2004, Johnson earned All-Area and All-League honors are recording 88 tackles.

"That's the only stat I really have, we don't find those out a lot of times," Johnson said. Johnson has taken two unofficial visits this spring to Northwestern and Virginia. He plans on heading to Duke on (6/29) and Michigan State at the beginning of July.

Northwestern: It was very nice, I really like Chicago."

Virginia: "I really wasn't feeling them that much."
