According to the father of Brodhead, Wis., offensive tackle, Mitchell Lederman, Duke University is the first school to offer a scholarship.
The 6-foot-7, 320 pound Wisconsin lineman, who has been a member of his varsity team since his sophomore season, lines up as a starter as both an offensive and defensive tackle. As a junior in 2004, Lederman earned several awards including all-area and all-conference honors.
Lederman also letters in track and basketball. He carries a 3.8 GPA in the classroom and scored 19 on his ACT.
Lederman is a powerful offensive tackle that uses his immense size to engulf defensive lineman. Mitch is agile for his size and he finishes his blocks.
Currently his favorites include Duke, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Ball State and Northern Illinois.
