Green picked up a huge offer yesterday bring his total to 13 written offers. Two schools stand out for the 6-foot-2, 200-pounder.

"Kevin camped at Iowa last weekend and they have now officially offered him a scholarship," said Donte Adams, the older brother of Kevin Green.

"Kevin was playing linebacker at the Iowa camp and they told him that he'll be playing outside linebacker if he signs with them.

"Coach (Kirk) Ferentz told me that they offered Kevin because he's athletic and he's very coach able. Kevin picked up on things very fast. They didn't have to tell him things more than once and they liked that."

Besides being his older brother, Donte Adams is also an assistant coach at North Chicago. Coach Adams saw his younger brother rack up 1,060 yards and score 8 touchdowns as a junior. Green averaged 9.1 yards per carry last season.

Green wasn't too shabby on the defensive side of the ball for a first timer as well. He totaled 55 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. Kevin was named all-conference and all-area.

Green now has scholarship offers from Iowa, Purdue, Minnesota, Boston College, Indiana, Kansas, Duke, Bowling Green, Navy, Toledo, Western Michigan, Ball State and Akron.

"The top two are Iowa and Purdue right now," said Coach Adams. "Minnesota is still in there and Kevin is going to visit them this summer. Duke is also in there. Kevin likes their academics."

Green plans on camping at Purdue and Notre Dame and he'll be shutting it down for the summer after those camps.
