Devils Still Working For Ga. WR

Crawford Kilpatrick is a big wide receiver from North Gwinnett High School in Georgia that has a load of talent but recently fell on some hard luck.

"Duke is my only offer right now," said Kilpatrick. "I went to Auburn's camp on Saturday and got hurt. A ball was underthrown, and I went down for it and the defensive back landed on me and drove my shoulder back. The team doctors at Auburn told me I have a separation at the AC Joint."

The injury has put one unofficial visit on hold.

"I was scheduled to go to Florida this weekend, but with the injury I don't think I'll be making that trip."

Kilpatrick has been receiving a lot of attention this summer as schools are waiting to see him in action as a senior before making a final decision.

"I've called Coach Gonzalez at Florida and Coach Dunn at Auburn this summer. I also get text messages from LSU, Duke, and Georgia coaches pretty much every week. My favorite teams in no order right now are Florida, Miami, Georgia and Auburn."

What does he like about each of his favorites?

"I like the coaches at Florida; they are very personable. Miami sends a lot of players to the NFL. Georgia is close to home, and I grew up watching them. Auburn is recruiting me the hardest right now."

Kilpatrick and his North Gwinnett squad started summer practice already in shells.

"I'll be working at wide receiver, and I'll see some time at defensive back too."
