In 2004, John Talley was a Second Team All-ACC choice after recording 59 tackles, four interceptions and 14 pass breakups. He returned two of his interceptions for touchdowns, taking back one pickoff 62 yards for a score at Connecticut and a second 85 yards for a touchdown versus Maryland. His pass breakup total of 14 ranks as the second highest single-season total in school history behind Erwin Sampson's 15 PBUs in 1989.
