Devils Still Battling For Roper

Justin Roper has remained undecided about where he'll play college football despite a good list of offers that includes the likes of Georgia Tech, Louisville, Duke, and Maryland. One school that hasn't offered could be tough to beat if they did tender a scholarship offer.

"I'm not making any choices yet," said Justin Roper. "If Tennessee were to offer though, that could be a top school for me. I like a lot of things about their program."

Where does Roper plan to take his official visits?

"I have a couple but they're not concrete yet. I'll probably hit Tennessee, Duke, and possibly Georgia Tech."

What are a few things Roper is looking for on singing day?

"I'm looking for a school that puts the ball in the air. I'll look at the chemistry between the players and coaches. I want to be part of a family environment."

Last year Roper helped lead Buford the AA State Championship game. He's very confident about his team's chances this year.

"We're looking very good. We have three big and fast receivers. We have one of the biggest Offensive Lines that we've had in years. We have a great shot at winning the whole thing."

Buford opens on Friday vs. AAA Power Gainesville
