After his much-discussed problem earlier this year, Shelden Williams didn't participate in many All-Star Games.  But he made the most of the Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic.

Shelden scored 26 points and had 15 rebounds, leading Rick Bozich of the Louisville Courier-Journal to say that "[i]f Mike Krzyzewski had Williams this season, the kid would have played 15 minutes a game. The Blue Devils needed another guy with a body as developed as this guy's.  He can run. He can rebound. He can block shots. He can pass. His offensive game won't remind you of Grant Hill or even Carlos Boozer. But it won't be pleasant trying to move him off the block."

Of Greensboro native Eric Hicks, Bozich said he "grew up dreaming of playing for the University of North Carolina. Carolina didn't want him. Now the kid plays as if he is determined to make Carolina coach Matt Doherty look like the biggest fool on the planet."
